It's raining again, I'm losing a friend...‏

It's funny that I can think of Supertramp lyrics...atleast I think they are, I'll stick with that story if any one asks.

This week we got rained on a little bit again. It has been a while, which is interesting (and probably means the winter will be really rainy, or these mountains just love us and want to keep us warm and dry. It is nice when you have loving mountains surrounding me. It was some intense rain though. We got to go out in it and visit some people, yes, rain.

Also this transfer is coming to an end. My companion will most likely be moving and I will soon have to show someone new the area of my childhood. This time has moved incredibly quickly and I have learned so much. That just seems to be the course of things as I work hard.
Recently we have seen a lot of cool things come to pass.

事情是這樣的...

We have been meeting with a very cool, less active member of the ward. He is 20 and hadn't really decided to go on a mission when he was younger, we've been working with him and his girlfriend (who is now investigating the church). We had 2 lessons with him and 1 with her this week. They were all incredible. The one we had with the girlfriend (flirt to convert!) we also had another investigator there (黃聖文, who is almost ready to be baptized). 江姐妹 (the girlfriend), 林立 (the boyfriend), as well as us learned so much. 黃聖文 is incredible and his spiritual experiences helped 江姊妹 understand a lot of what we talked about. She was really willing to set a date with us and we are meeting her again tomorrow.

Tomorrow I get to make lunch for 林立 and her (first time I get to use those recipes, thanks mom!). I am making chili and cornbread, which are fairly uncommon in Taiwan; that's an understatement. I'm excited, I will also be companions with a member who will be going on his mission very soon.

What else happened last week. We had some more good lessons with 巫姊妹 and 黃聖文 they are both doing what they can to improve and receive one of God's most precious gifts, which is the gift of the Holy Ghost. As a side note, I realized how much I took this for granted, it really is incredible and important. Having access to Heavenly Father's will and that protection is priceless. Without it I could not be a missionary, there would be no point. Luckily it is very easy to feel and understand the influence of while devoting my time to it. "And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort ye that ye would ask God,..he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost." -Moroni 10:4 This scripture has so much promise, as does all the words of God. As we taught 林立 last night I was prompted to share it with him. What an incredible experience as the spirit worked within him, and within my companion and I. There is nothing more precious than doing my part to be a tool in God and speaking His words, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

Beyond this we did find some incredible people, some for a second time who are being more and more prepared.

It has been beyond belief what I have witnessed as a missionary. I have seen things that some wait their entire missions for, I have been blessed to be trained in an area where I have had to learn quickly with a trainer who didn't so much train me in a classroom, but by his example. I have gained an appreciation and a knowledge of this gospel that I will never give up.

I know the Book of Mormon is true, I've read it, I've prayed about it, and done it over and over again. " But behold, that which is of God inviteth and enticeth to do good continually; wherefore, every thing which inviteth and enticeth to do good, and to love God, and to serve him, is inspired of God" -Moroni 7:13

I know that we have a living prophet on the Earth today who guides us in the paths of righteousness. Following him will lead no one astray. Joseph Smith restored God's church to the earth.

I know this Church is true.

I know my Savior lives, and loves me too. I know He knows me personally.

Love,
