Song of the post, "Holiday" by Vampire weekend. This is my holiday season song so might as well put it up.
I have a had a great break, and now it is time to get back into some semblance of order and start working and fencing again, as well as preparing for my mission to Taiwan. I leave in march so that is when this blog will go silent, except maybe the occasional post of letters home if I can convince anyone to do that for me.
I finished up last term at BYU with a 3.40...which is better than I was expecting with how the term started. The lowest grades were in my Math classes, obviously I need to pay more attention and be more on time to class, after my mission I need to remember to get classes later in the day.
This year will be the first time I have fenced outside of Utah, I will be competing in sabre in Washington (at the Battle in Seattle) and in the Junior Olympics in Dallas. Hopefully I do well, I will be practicing frequently to be able to place and have fun.
I got to see a lot of my dad's family this break which was really exciting, we all got to spend a lot of time talking and doing things what I miss sometimes as I have been a loner mostly since high school. Life has this way of changing situations frequently, I guess the answer is to take it a day at a time and live by faith (I have a few more Kierkegaard books to read).
TOMs Shoes, start the year helping someone out.
